Presentation

We bring farm life into your Classroom!

During every 90 minute Presentation in your Classroom, students will have a hands-on experience with chicken eggs, view live chickens, smell and touch sheep fleece!

Shelley engages young minds and connects the importance, the purpose and the need for farming - known as agriculture -  to our everyday lives!

With the added bonus of contributions from other local farmers, our Farmer In The Dell Presentation, also features:

  • Sticky Beesness: Unpasturized Honey (Douro)

  • Cross Wind Farm: Goat Cheese & Milk Information (Keene)

  • Thistles & Sticks: Felted Soaps & Balms (Cavan)

  • Staples: Maple Syrup (Cavan)

  • Bragg Farms: Famous Wild Birdseed (Bowmanville)

Shelley makes age-appropriate connections to lifecyles and explains the purpose of animals, plants, insects and produce to our local farms in a way children will understand. Students will come away from the session inspired and with a greater understanding of our interconnectedness.

*Please note that growing animals for their meat is only very briefly covered. We feel that topic is best for parents to discuss with their children.
